Cuba has excelled in the arts. Visual arts, ballet, dance, theater, opera, music, sculpture, crafts and many other areas. We will be showcasing these accomplishments in this section of Mi Malecon.

Director Steven Spielberg was the guest of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Arts and Industry during the first week of November, 2002. He met with admirers, members of the Jewish community and President Castro before returning to the USA.

Due to OFAC restrictions, licensed travel to Cuba has been more tightly regulated through 2007.
